Any ideas?

I myself am using git quite a lot. I am not an expert but I like it so far.

My current opinion is that PARPG is not very active at all, mostly Beliar is basically the only one still doing changes. (Mad props to him!)

Of course a move away to something else always has the risk to worsen a given situation. So this is just an IDEA anyway. Smiley

I am not too happy with the whole move to Assembla though and I wonder if it contributed to PARPG becoming less active as well.

What it contributed to:

Good stuff:
Keeps people updated and organized really easy
It seems like it helps forking things
Management is a tiny bit more distributed now
we moved to the new and fancy dvcs

Bad stuff:
Technomage doing management rather than coding.
Lack of documentation (fixed just recently)
we haven't moved completely

Why not moving:
Assembla worked for us and it seems like the software and service is not the reason that made project move slow. It's more the lack of the manpower.
Coders wanted to use mercurial rather than anything else. Make sure there is no space limit somewhere where we'll be soon size-wise
Adds nothing but work, even if you won't do anything there is still the problem of making account, installing software, checking if it works, writing docs, managing memberships and so on, and so on.

so those were my two cents
