A planet is a central place, where all project activity is aggregated. Right now the planet aggregates the blog (new blog posts, new comments), the forums (new threads and posts), trac (SVN commits, new tickets and comments) and the wiki (article editing). The idea of using such a planet was brought up by a FIFE dev in 2007 and we looked into it back then but couldn't really find a software that suited our needs.

Last night we decided to take a look into it again and we found a nice working tool for the purpose. So without further ado, here's planet PARPG:

The planet is meant to be the easiest way to follow the project as it syndicates all important project activity in one central place. If the devs actually dig the planet functionality, I'll add it to the standard navigation bar, alongside blog, forums, IRC, trac & wiki.

EDIT: navbars at blog, forums and the wiki have been updated with the planet link.

The Planet site is awesome, Barra! Should be really useful to help keep track of the various changes occurring throughout the project.

"There are more atoms in the period at the end of this sentence than you can count in a lifetime." Science is awesome.
