Hi!

Three first sounds are for the menus, as requested in http://wiki.parpg.net/Required_Audio
Well, this is my first released audio work.
My target was to make the sound as neutral and non-disturbing as possible.

Cheers,
Luke

I was just pointed to this thread. Should we convert these sounds and put them into SVN?

http://wiki.parpg.net/Department:Audio contains no info about formats. we agreed on flac? or vorbis? or flac for source and vorbis for in game.

Yeah, we should add them (why not? - even if we decide to use paper-ish sounds for the common gui, I'm sure these sounds might be useful for another purpose later). Whose job is it to put it in the repo, barra?

The job of the audio designers on the team :-) The main problem is that we don't have one right now.

In the future, these files should be added to SVN right away. I can put them into SVN tomorrow if that's what we want.

Concerning formats: FLAC for the source versions, OGG Vorbis for the ingame versions, that's correct :-)

EDIT: Wikified it here: http://wiki.parpg.net/Audio_conventions

Just talked to Q_x about the GUI sounds: they were not meant to end up in the game. As Matthew asked about it: please create new sounds for these GUI actions as well!

Just to keep things straight - it was not a prank or anything like that. Samples were done to end up in game, eventually. But... 1) they are really frugal and simple, 2) I (really) drawn the samples with a mouse, 3) they are not suiting the game too well, they are all very neutral (or mindless). This being said I will be really glad and all very happy if anyone will came up with anything mindfull. Or anything at all.
