Can you guys collect which tracks we will have for techdemo I? How many and who is the author? Edit: Yes, we have that. See the link below.

I'd like to rather have more than too few. Please write here what tracks you did, or which ones you think are missing. Edit: Answered already. Smiley

<timong> it's more about is the engine capable to change tracks and if there's enough places to use all the tracks we have. i think we already have 4 tracks
<Beliar> hmm, yes changing tracks is possible

For track listing look here:
http://parpg-trac.cvsdude.com/parpg/browser/trunk/game/music

- Answered questions:

Functionality: It would be nice if the GUI could allow a player to select between the different tracks easily. As in, you listen to a track, and don't like it, and press some key combination. [Feature frozen for techdemo as stated by maximinus, perhaps later]

- Is the engine changing tracks automatically right now? That would do for the first.
It does not. I agree that it should. See trac ticket:
http://parpg-trac.cvsdude.com/parpg/ticket/250

- Pending questions. How to best use it?

- What to do with newcomers who want to contribute audio stuff? Have our current audio guys decided on some things to use for PARPG? I mean, we can have 10 different composers and 10 different tracks. But personally I think it would be better if there is some loose, general framework ... one that tries to somewhat fit into a post apocalyptic cold world. (Just my 2 cc)

There are tracks already in the repository IIRC. I made 2 tracks and created OGG versions of it which were added to the SVN.

Okay, here they are: http://parpg-trac.cvsdude.com/parpg/browser/trunk/game/music

The question is rather how these will be used.

I like this, but at the moment I think there should be an feature freeze until the techdemo is done. We shouldn't let anything get in the way for the next month or so.

I asked on #python how to do that and submitted a feature request with a solution http://parpg-trac.cvsdude.com/parpg/ticket/250

I can put that i tomorrow, with just a slight change so there's no chance it will repeat a track

I've applied qubodup's random audio playback patch:

Code review by programmers appreciated!
