I exported some footstep sounds from a recording I made a while ago and uploaded them (flash-based in-browser preview available there)

They are nine single foot (shoe) step sounds on some crappy, wet snow.

I would appreciate if you took a listen to Steps Indoors and Steps Outside from here and told me if you think the sounds are worth exporting (regarding quality) and whether they would be useful for PARPG.

From another recording of mine, I exported five four dry-ish snow footsteps: http://opengameart.org/content/5-dry-snow-steps

hey thanks for sharing  Qubodup, those sound are very good.
From my poor ear i guess they might need some touch up if we need to make it loop.
Anyways an expert like dave will give a more viable answer than me.

The steps are available as single sounds. The previews make it seem they are one file without pauses. I think pauses should be made with the engine.

Anyways, I got permission from Corsica_S to release his sounds under cc0 (public domain) and so I did! 42 step sounds in snow! http://opengameart.org/content/42-snow-and-gravel-steps more to come.
