Title: Trac spam issues
Post by: mvBarracuda on May 08, 2009, 02:37:03 PM
It seems that our trac system has been massively spammed lately. I deactivated ticket creation for anonymous users for the time being. I've also mailed our host (cvsdude.com) about it and hopefully they'll install the akismet anti spam addon that seems to be already in place for the FIFE trac system.

Anonymous tickets will be activated again as soon as the anti spam addon is working.

The spam filter has been activated and anonymous tickets are allowed again. Hopefully now you can send in patches again but without any hordes of spam invading our trac :-)

I was unable to comment on existing tickets yesterday. Is this a feature?

It seems that the antispam addon has some false positives :-/ I tweaked it a bit and it might work better now. Please try again and thanks for reporting!

The spam filter was still flawed :-/

Fortunately the cvsdude support helped us to hopefully finally resolve the issue. Please let us know if there are continued issues with creating tickets as anonymous user.

I don't remember if I told you on IRC, but anonymous commenting (at least, didn't try ticket creation) works fine.
